Photos on Portal
One of the core features for both engagement and retention on Meta's smarthome device, Portal, was our photo experience. I drove content design for displaying, uploading, managing and sharing photos on Portal devices- experiences that had direct, positive correlation to minutes spent and return usage amongst people who used Portal.
I led messaging efforts for cloud-based photo storage, allowing users to take, save and share photos from their devices, or remotely.
I helped develop and promote an AI-driven photo pairing system to allow users to manage and display automatically grouped collections of photos with ease.
We also developed a system for automatically displaying select photos from users' personal devices, inspiring fresher content and additional feature engagement.
I led content design across our Portal mobile app, including information architecture, taxonomy, and naming across our photo management and sharing system.
